Accountant

Accountants are responsible for functions such as the preparation and analysis of financial and statistical information, general ledger reconciliation, audits of financial documents, reconciliation of payroll and deferred revenue analysis.

Financial Management Advisor

Financial Management Advisors are responsible for developing, planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating financial plans, monitoring and analyzing monthly financial reports. They provide a variety of professional services to the Finance Department by undertaking strategic and operation analysis to develop financial recommendations, program proposals and implementation of strategies for the department and other management staff of Saskatoon Health Region.

 

Training

Accountant

  • Bachelor Degree with a specialty in accounting
  • Completion of the fifth level in a recognized accounting program (i.e. C.M.A. or C.G.A.) with a minimum of two years experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and experience.
  • Advanced computer skills utilizing spreadsheet and word processing software, and complex integrated financial systems.

Financial Management Advisor

  • A professional accounting designation
  • Two years experience in a senior financial capacity
